Our Allied Health Professionals

Health Visitors

The Health Visiting Team offer health advice and support mainly to families with young children. This includes help with parenting and behaviour management and also support to women with Postnatal depression. They see children for development checks and immunisation at the GP surgery. Please contact the surgery for information about appointment times. Outwith those hours they are available for advice as necessary. Please telephone the surgery to arrange for a member of the team to return your call.

District Nurses

The District Nursing team carries out nursing care for the patient at home. Please contact the surgery if you require a referral to the district Nurse team, alternatively you can self refer by phoning 0141 355 2180.

  • Eden Keillar

Eden is our ‘First Contact’ Physiotherapist (FCPs) within the Practice. His role is different from a traditional physiotherapist in that he is an advanced practitioner with extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis and management of soft tissue, muscle, joint and spinal problems. Eden can see patients as the first point of contact, instead of seeing a GP, and can be accessed directly by contacting the practice reception.  A typical FCP appointment involves assessment, diagnosis and first-line treatment. FCPs can also refer patients for a course of physiotherapy treatment, order investigations or make referrals into secondary care services using the same pathways as GPs.

Community Link Practitioner

  • Abelomai Luncheon

As a Link Worker, I help people in the Practice manage issues that negatively impact their health and wellbeing. Link Workers work with anybody, of any age, experiencing any issue. I help link people in with the many community organisations and groups that offer advice and support, or directly provide one-to-one support to manage housing and benefit issues for example. I am also able to lend a listening ear if needed, all depending on the type of support that you want.

Pharmacy Support Team

  • Janey Lennon
  • Ian Campbell
  • Fiona McAuley

The pharmacy team are here to provide safe, effective, patient-centred use of medications to support you in managing your health conditions.

They can manage questions you may have about your medications including information regarding side effects, medication interactions, use of medication in pregnancy and breastfeeding; and can support patients who may have had their medication changed after hospital admission or at an out-patient clinic.

Our pharmacists also help support patients in the management of their long-term conditions, and support the safe prescribing of medications that require more frequent monitoring.
